Stop. You want to kill yourself? You want all the pain to be gone? Your problem, it’s a short period of time which we can solve. Where as, you killing yourself will be there forever. Imagine it. 20 years time. Somebody comes up to you, there’s still that one little scar. They later on ask you “what’s the scar on your left arm?” It was from where you self harmed, you’d regret it. So what, you made mistakes in the past, who cares? Not me. It’s not your fault. Everybody learns from their mistakes. Everybody messes up, at one time in their life. It’s not just you. It might feel like it is, but I can tell you in all honesty, it is not just you. Close your eyes, breathe in slowly. Breathe out. Then think about it. Your parents, siblings, best friend, etc. walk in to your room. They see you lying there. They think you’re just messing around, so they come over and try to drag you up. Soon enough, they realise you’re out cold. And bloods dripping from you. They scream for help. But nobody comes. They scream your name, louder than anything, you don’t reply. You lay in their arms, coldly, dead, bleeding… What would they feel like? Your pain is not going to last forever. You may not realise it now, but I reassure you it won’t. It honestly won’t. Do you think nobody would care if you killed yourself? Do you think everybody would be happier off without you around? Nobody would notice? That’s wrong. I’d care if you died. I’d certainly not be happy if you died. I would notice. The people in school who never smiled, said hi to you or doesn’t look at you? They’ll blame themselves for not looking at you or never smiling back at you. Or saying hey to you. That teacher who gave you extra homework, shouted at you when you did something wrong, pushed you that extra bit further? They’ll think it was all their fault for trying to make you that little bit better than everyone else in the class. They’ll say they didn’t see the signs, when really, they did. They’ll say oh what a wonderful person you were, but they never told you that when you were alive. Someone out there does love you. People out there do care. Your future girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband is somewhere out there, thinking of you. Put down the pills, the razor, the rope, the gun, put everything possibly to self harm yourself with down. Now. You’re strong enough to get through it. Look at yourself, say to yourself “I am beautiful. I am amazing. I can do this.” Because it’s all true. I believe in you. I’m here for you. People are afraid to tell their feelings, so don’t think nobody cares. Because they do. Don’t kill yourself because one person out of the seven billion people on earth told you to. You can do it. I love you. Keep smiling.
